Costco Gas

Today's trip to Costco didn't include gas, but I wanted to post the gas prices anyway.

My Little Parrot

Every day in our house is always so busy, busy, busy!  Emma is learning so much by watching her older sisters and brother.  I was going to start blogging her new words each day and then realized that she's repeating everything we say.  So unless I want to recite the dictionary I'm outta luck.  However, today she did say "Mommy" for the first time.  I've been Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma for the longest time, that it's sounds so sweet to me to hear her say my name... "Mommy".

Muffins for Mom's at Jessie's School

We woke up extra early this morning to join Jessie at school for 'Muffins for Moms'.  It was well worth it, we got to see some of our friends and their moms.
Ok, so it's a little blurry... but I wanted to post a picture of me and my girls.  I adore them all so much!

Jessie is student council representative for her class.  Here she is helping to hand out muffins, actually she's supervising with baby in hand.  Jessie is a good 'mommy' to her little sisters.

Sarah was enjoying looking for chocolate treasures in her muffin.  It was sad when she munched on her finger thinking it was a chocolate chunk.

Today's Trip to the Library

The girls and I went to the library today to pick up a few books.  In preparation of our upcoming field trip to Travel Town, I was looking for a book about trains.  Also, I wanted to get a book about Spring.

Emma found a book to read.
Sharing ... or not!

Here's what we ended up getting, Henny Penny was for Sarah who kept talking about the sky falling... I thought she'd enjoy this story:

Busy Bees Book Club

Once a month we meet with our Beatrix Potter book club.  Ms. Hosanna always has lots of fun activities for the kids.  This week they made mouse masks, climbed through mouse tunnels and had a mouse snack.

Today's Gas Price

OUCH!!! $3.85 a gallon.  Time to tune up the bicycles.

My Freecycle Find

I was so excited today get these Nestle Toll House chocolate chips free from the Freecycle.  It's an unopened bag, and I received them from a trusted source, otherwise I wouldn't have wanted them.

Our Newest Addition to the Family

This weekend we adopted two Netherland Dwarf Bunnies. Sarah named one Sparklez and Jessica named the other Thumper.  Here they are hanging out in the kitchen with Kitters looking on.

Garden tags

I figured I'd better label our vegetables  so that we know what it is that we're growing.  Sarah drew a picture of each vegetable, we laminated them and then hot glued them to large Popsicle sticks.  I'm not sure how long they'll last outside, but hopefully they'll at least last through the harvest.

Happy Birthday to Me

Jessie told me she was going to make me a birthday cake for my birthday, and she did...

This is her first ever cake that she made all by herself, a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.  Of coarse she had a little help from her sister, Sarah.  I can't wait to eat it!!!

Today's Trip to Home Depot

Today the girls and I went to Home Depot to pick up a few flowers to plant in our garden, and ended up with more than that!  In addition to the flowers we picked up some plants for our vegetable garden: broccoli, Roma tomato, sweet peas, brussel sprouts, red cabbage, Anaheim peppers, and super sweet 100 tomatoes.

Tiny's Tuesday

A few years back we would meet my oldest after school at Tiny's, a local sandwich shop on Tuesdays.  The kids would all get soft serve ice cream: vanilla, chocolate or swirl, they called Tuesdays - "Tiny Tuesday".  To this day Sarah still refers to this day of the week as "Tiny Tuesday", even though we don't go as often.
